Paul came across a photo and wanted me to read the comments he had made before I looked at it. As soon as I read them I knew what the photo would be.
This is it

The photographer is called Kris and the lady is Veronica.
So why am I writing this? Well firstly I have to applaud Veronica for letting herself be photographed as most women would want to hide from this. She is showing her scar with pride and I love the slight smile on her face.
Kris has done an excellent job with this photo by turning it to mono and highlighting the pink breast cancer logo.
Secondly at the time of me writing this journal, this has only received 5
Ladies and gentleman THIS is what breast cancer is all about.
We can all wear ribbons and have the logo stamps but at the end of the day this is what breast cancer really looks like. Now I know most of you women will understand this but how many of you males have ever really thought what it would look like and how a woman would feel to lose her breast?
The help I am asking for is that you all click on this photo. Go and
Put up your own journal showing this photo or copy mine so that we can spread this message around the world.
There will be many sponsored events over the next few weeks to raise money for cancer research. By showing this photo if it makes people put in £1, $1 or whatever currency your country has into a collection box it will add up to that little bit extra. Also Avon cosmetics support Breast Cancer Research so if you have an Avon lady go and buy one of their sponsored items.
If you do put it in a journal, I would ask that you don't include it with other features as it will lose it's impact. This is something that really needs to stand out on it's own.
One of my sisters died of breast cancer many many years ago and I remember how scared I was to look at her scar. I wish now I had been more mature to handle it.
On a happier note Kris has told me Veronica is now cancer free and is to be featured in a Norwegian magazine soon.
I know I have many watchers and you too will have many people that will watch and read your journals so PLEASE PLEASE support this and let me know of anything that you do.
We will never stop breast cancer but maybe we can find a way to catch it so women no longer have to lose their breasts.
love to you all

Simply amazing....
Years ago I was walking through a small Cape Cod town and in one of the gift shops was a poster that had a picture of a woman similar to this photo, long before pink ribbons were around. She had a rainbow painted across her missing breast. Beautiful poster.
